Kolkata: Many colleges in the city have initiated a deresving chair process, set aside for students belonging to the scheduled caste, the scheduled tribes and other classes, because the bed in the category remains empty even though there are many rounds of acceptance and notifications that invite candidates.
While some universities have been applied to the departure of the classroom welfare that is looking for dereservation seats, others have issued a notification, with details of the number of vacancies in the quota seat, required requirements before the application to open the building.
Some universities have also changed seats between the categories ordered in several subjects, depending on the application received.
In college and universities, 45% chairs are reserved for students of SC, ST, OBC A and OBC B, cut-off qualifications that are slightly lower than that for the general part.
Bengal Bengal Bengal State Education Act (Reserve in Receipt) Law, 2013, has a clause that allows seat deroservation with the approval of the backward class welfare department.
Before trying to open the chairs for all, the Institute should issue some notifications, notify candidates about the availability of beds.
Maulana Azad College is among the institutes who issued a notification to applicants for categories ordered to submit the authority of their desire to receive entrance tickets in some of the remaining empty seats.
“We have several vacancies in the categories that are ordered in subjects, such as Arabic, Bengali, Mathematics, History, Economics, Sociology, Philosophy and Politics.

In Umesh Chandra College, the authorities published several notifications, informs of the Category vacancies ordered before applying for a de-reservation.
“We strictly follow the reservation rules.
We have started doing a reservation process for empty seats.
If we get permission on the last receipt date, we will be able to recognize more students by publishing the list on September 29.
But if the permit does not come on the last date of receipt And the government does not extend the deadline, the chairs will remain empty, “said Mohammad Tofazzal Haque, the principal in Umesh Chandra.
Authorities in Seth Anandram Jaipuria College have made intra-category chairs in subjects, such as chemistry, Hindi and food & nutrition and in trade.
“It has been done after checking the application for seats booked in many departments.
Wherever there are more requests at OBC A, we take the chair of other parts.
The total number of categories ordered has not been disturbed,” said an official.
