Communication plan to overcome vax doubts on the card by DK DIST Admin

Mangaluru: Dakshina District Administration Kannada has decided to overcome the Covid-19 vaccine doubts among a small number of beneficiaries, which have not been affixed, through an effective communication plan.
This district has nearly 4% of beneficiaries aged over 18, who have not received a vaccine dose, for various reasons.
This new plan aims to increase vaccine coverage in areas where people are reluctant to be investigated, when the district witnessed the surge in Covid-19 cases.
The communication plan will include audio and video clippings with attraction by religious leaders, influencers and leading family doctors in this district.
In addition, the district will also insist on religious temples to make announcements through the public address system in vaccination.
Interpersonal communication activities are planned through village-level task forces, to reach families who refuse to vaccinate.
Likewise, the plan has also been prepared to immediately discuss all children in the age group 15-18, beneficiaries in the health care sector, frontline workers from the government department, and all of which are above 18.
The district has set goals to manage the 17th vaccine, 2 LAKH beneficiaries, including health workers, frontline workers from the government, and other people who are above 18.
In addition, the target to vaccinate 1 LAKH beneficiaries in the age group 15-18 has been established.
The district also has a target to manage prevention doses to 3,37,447 beneficiaries.
DR Bajesh, RCH officer, Dakshina Kannada, told TII that the communication plan to overcome the hesitation vaccine would soon be launched.
“We have reached 96% of the target to manage the first dose of vaccines for beneficiaries above 18.
Meanwhile, 80% of beneficiaries above 18, who have received the first dose too.
We have managed the first dose of vaccine to 95 % of those aged 15-18 years.
This new plan will help the district reach the target in every immediate category, “he added.
