Rajkot: A company resident manager based in a company that handles energy companies in Vadinar in Devbhoomi Dwarka is allegedly kidnapped and threatened by local contractors because it does not give it a construction project worth Rs 5 Crore.
Pawankumar Sharma manager filed a complaint of kidnapping, extortion and criminal intimidation at the Medhpar police station on Friday against the Ranjitsinh Jadeja contractor.
Sharma told the police that the energy company had provided construction projects to other contractors because where Jadyja was angry and threatened it in March.
Sharma tried to explain to Jadia that he could not do anything as last recorded by the energy company.
However, on July 15 when Sharma and his colleagues would go to Jamnagar, Jadyja and three other unidentified men stopped them near Medhpar Padana Patiya.
They kidnapped Sharma and took him to a hotel where Jadaja misused Sharma and threatened it with a terrible consequence if he was not given a contract.
The defendant asked Sharma to decide immediately and escape from there leaving it.
Even after that Sharma was used to get a threat call from Jadeja.
He even told the police that because of fear, he turned off the phone most of the time.
But on Friday, he approached the police and filed a complaint.
