Udupi: Congress organizes a new protest from a bad road in Karkala by holding a bicycle meeting and reaching the pain balm as a gift besides the trophy.
The rally was symbolically carried out on the streets of Karkala, the Constitution of the Energy Minister V Sunil Kumar.
Congress leaders accused the streets in the city could not be motorized because of holes.
Karkala Town Congress Congress of the Congress of the President and Member of Karkala Town Municipal Council (TMC) member Shubhada Rao told toi that bicycle rallies were held on Sundays as a sign of their protest because all roads in the city were suitable for rallic traffic and not suitable for movement traffic.
“Karkala TMC has no concern for the driver’s problem in the city.
Karkala people questioned the authorities concerned because they did not take the road construction work even though MLA was the minister.
Those who were elected on behalf of development and the people of Karnataka must understand the situation of people.
Therefore, we have decided to bring the fate of a sad road in Karkala with a notice of representatives through symbolic bike rallies, “Rao said.
The first, second and third prize winner of the rally was given a trophy, he said.
“We have also distributed pain with a trophy to highlight the fate of our streets that can trigger body pain after riding a bicycle,” he said, adding that nearly 20 participants took part in a bicycle rally.
When contacted, President Karkala TMC Suma Keshav said the urban area had allocated funds for the development of all roads in the city.
“We have prepared a plan and receive funds to develop all the way in the city.
The work cannot be taken only because of continuous rain.
However, we have taken several temporary hole charging works and great work will be taken soon,” he added.
