Ramgarh: A senior Congress leader, Kamshesh Narayan Sharma (60), was found killed by unknown people at his residence at the beginning of Saturday.
His wife, Chanchala Sharma (55), was also brutally attacked and taken to a local hospital in subconscious conditions.
He then referred to rim in Ranchi.
Sharma, who derived from Central Saunda under the police station Outpost Bhurkunda, was a former Secretary General of the Ramgarh congress district unit.
The report said Sharma was hit on the head with an iron rod.
SP Prabhat Kumar, who rushed to Sharma’s house, confirmed that it was a case of murder and crime motifs that could be ascertained only after the police investigation ended.
Talk to media people, he said, “the police are investigating crimes from all possible angles, including targeted robbery and murder.” SDPO (Patratu) Birendra Kumar Chaudhary, who also visited the place, said the unidentified criminals went into Sharma’s house from the window and attacked the couple with the iron rod.
Local Congress Mla Amba Prasad rushed to Sharma’s house to hear the news.
He condemned the brutal murder of the leader of the veteran party and said he would meet with the chairman of the Minister of Hemant Soren to suppress the Cid probe into evil.
Meanwhile, the work of the State Congress that worked and the residents of Ramgarh District, Shahjada Anwar, said criminals had challenged before the police by killing a congressional leader at his home.
“Sitting must be formed to investigate the case and arrest those responsible for brutal murder,” he said.
