Mysuru: The top congressional leaders will participate in Mekedatu Diyatra on the first day on Sunday, the President of the KPCC Worker R Dhruvanarayana said here on Friday.
He added that local leaders would join the event on Monday when the weekend hours were appointed.
Repeating the Congress will not return to his plan to take in the heart of Mekedatu in Ramanagara district to Bengaluru, he asks the state government to withdraw its restrictions, alleged, designed to stop shodyatra.
He said the Congress activists would follow the corresponding behavior of Covid including wearing masks and maintaining social distance when issuing in the heart.
One lakh mask is ready for use while cleaners will also be distributed to workers, he said.
He said the center did not need to blame Punjab CM Chararjit Singh Channi for a security hose during PM Narendra Modi’s visit to the border country earlier this week and called it SPG and IB failure.
Dalit CM was blamed for irregularities he didn’t do, he said.
