Nagpur: Congress Unit held a meeting on Thursday to revive preparation for the upcoming Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) poll, scheduled to be held in April.
Head of Kity Vikas Thakre led the meeting held at Devadia Bhavan, along with other senior party officials.
All Indian Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary General Avinash Pande is the leading guest of the meeting where several problems related to the preparation of the poll are discussed.
Previously, Pande was warmly welcomed by party workers on arrival at the airport.
He was given the opportunity during a meeting for his appointment as a Congress responsible for the election of the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly they were told to use digital applications for registration of new members.
Thakre told Tii, “We have appointed 68 Chief Enrollers for our digital membership drive.
They will appoint heads in all 2,055 rooms in all cities.
The head will register 100-200 new members in each area from February 6.
We also It has invited objections from activists about the new Prabhag system, if any.
We will compile all such complaints and send it to the government to be considered.
They can also file personal objections with the government.
“The party also officially launched a campaign of polls from Thursday.
“Our workers will launch drive membership by visiting all households in their respective regions and explaining to them how BJP has failed to fulfill his promises to develop the city, and the chaos that has been created in the last NMC a-half decade,” said Thakre.
According to party activists, the new environmental system announced by the state government is the focus of discussion among other topics.
The names of candidates for contestants from each ward are also discussed because many party activists want to fight polls.
