Panaji: Congress Writ Petition Challenges the Speaker Assembly Goa Rajesh Rejection Rajesh Patnekar to disqualify 10 MLA congresses who joined BJP have been transferred back from the main bench of the high Bombay court in Goa.
The Bombay High Court issued an administrative order on October 5 to shift the case back to Goa, a decision based on a request submitted by the Congress of President Girish Chodankar.
“In accordance with the administrative order of the chairman of justice on October 5, this problem was transferred back from the main seat to the Bombay High Court in Goa,” said the justice officer to the Congress.
“The same thing will be placed on the boat and will come to hear on October 20 or on another day according to the convenience of this court.” Chodankar challenged Patnekar’s order to reject the disqualified petition against the 10 former MLA Congress.
When the case appeared to hear before the Bombay High Court in Goa, Justice Mahesh Sonak resigned from this case.
Without another division bench in Goa, this case was placed to hear before the principal bench in Bombay.
Judge K K Knienti and Pritviraj Chavan heard the case as the main bench of the Bombay High Court.
However, after being established, the hearing was jammed.
With the alternative division bench available at the Bombay High Court in Goa, and with the MGP WRIT petition regarding the disqualification petition also heard by the Goa Division bench, Congress asked this case to be transferred back to Goa.
