Panaji: In a large setback to the Congress ahead of the assembly election is likely to be held in early 2022, the head of the head of the two-time Goa and sitting MLA from Navelim Luizinho Faleiro will likely resign from the party and also from the legislature on Monday to join the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
Faleiro, who was aide close to the President of Congress Sonia Gandhi and claimed to be a “loyal warrior” of the party, it was likely to submit his resignation to the Speaker of Majesh Goa Rajesh Patnekar on Monday afternoon.
The source said Faleiro had been offered the Sabha’s chair by TMC and the party wanted to use his long task in the northeastern region as AICC responsible for helping to strengthen the base.
Faleiro did not argue or confirm his development.
“I’m in deep meditation.
I read everyone.
One thing I will say is that Goa people suffer.
Someone must stand up.
I will give you my comments at the right time,” he said.
With this development, the congress who has won 17 seats under his president in the 2017 Assembly poll, will find the amount reduced to four at home 40 members.
The source said some of the aides near Faleiro could also resign from Congress to join TMC with Him.
The nearby helpers have said that he was ruled out by party leadership in the state.
He was a strong competitor for the presidentsship of the State Party, before Chodankar Girish Incumbent was maintained as the President of the State earlier this month.
To calm him down, the Congress has made it Head of the Election Coordination Committee for Goa.
Faleiro’s move came when Congress tried hard to revive his base in the state under the guidance of P Chidambaram.
“Faleiro stopped Congress may not have a lot of consequences.

Churchill Alemao also has a South Goa parliamentary election with TMC tickets in 2014.
Faleiro was first chosen at the Congress ticket in 1980 from Navelim and since then he continued to win a seat until he was defeated in 2007 by the Benaulim Mla Churchill Alemoo.
Faleiro did not oppose the selection of assembly in 2012.
In 2017, Congress against the assembly poll under his leadership and won 17 seats to become the biggest party in the Cave Assembly, but failed to form a government.
In 1999, with Faleiro as president of the party, Congress secured 21 seats, the first time every political party had achieved achievements in Goan’s politics.
After Faleiro lost assembly elections in 2007, he made the Secretary General AICC for northeast countries and under his guidance, the party had won the election.
