Vadodara: The new 63-year-old VIP population and a retired employee of the Bank of Baroda (Bob), lost Rs 2 Lakh to Conman in a bank near Mandvi.
Bhaskar Suthar victims have registered complaints of cheating on an unknown man at the City Police Station.
In his complaint, Suthar stated that he had gone to the bank on September 9 to transfer money in his permanent deposit account.
When he filled the examination details, the defendant approached him and introduced himself as Mahesh and told him that he was a bank employee and recently moved to the city from Delhi.
Mahesh offers to help Suthar, but the latter fill in checking his details and also attracting Rs 2 Lakh from the Bank’s counter.
When Suthar was waiting for his turn, Mahesh came back and sat next to him.
Suthar was afraid of this and he decided to polish cash in his account again.
Mahesh then offered to help him deposit a cash follower he gave allegations of all the amount.
Mahesh then went to the deposit counter for a while and returned with the bank deposit slip.
But, before Suthar could verify the details in the slip, the defendant said he would get a photocopy of the slip and then disappeared.
Suthar told the police that Mahesh came out of the bank and he later learned that the money was never saved back to his account.
