Jaipur: A 32-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging her after killing her two children at her home in Singap Khurd from Govindgarh on Tuesday.
DSP, Govindgarh, Sandeep Sarswat said that Manisha Setyhi was found hanging from the ceiling.
“We also found his daughter’s body Namrata (10) hung in the same room, while his son Kavyansh (1) was allegedly suffocated,” he said.
Police said that the husband of Manha Ravindra Setyhi was posted in Jaipur as a police officer in Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC).
“He was on leave for several days and left home on Monday,” Sarswat said.
There were no suicides recovered from the house and the reason behind Manha taking extreme steps has not been confirmed.
The police also said that they did not find anything on the Manha cellphone that could show the reason why he ended his life.
Police Govindgarh said that based on Prima Facie evidence, they treated the death of Manha as a suicide case.
Motherha’s father-in-law had found that something was wrong when he didn’t come out of the room in the morning and also told his son Ravindra, police said.
Sarswat said that Mana was allegedly strangled Kavyansh while Namrata was hung when he fell asleep.
“Signs on the toddler’s body showed that he might have suffered while Namrata was allegedly given a few sleeping pills because he did not wake up when his mother hung him,” he said.
