Rajkot: An instance of abetment of suicide has been registered from a police constable late on Saturday night following relatives of the deceased refused to cremate the sufferer’s body.
The Halvad authorities, after much delay, reserved Indubha Parmar, a constable connected to Morbi police officers, after mature officers intervened in the situation.
Parmar, a resident of Tidana village of Halvad taluka, has been reserved for forcing 34-year-old Nitin Goswami to accept the radical measure.
According to the authorities, Goswami, a resident of Rudra Park at Halvad city, drowned to death after leaping into Brahmani dam nearby Halvad city.
A suicide note was recovered out of Goswami’s top that was located close to the dam.
The suicide note said that Goswami took the radical measure because of its harassment by Parmar.
Goswami’s body had been retrieved on Saturday morning however, his loved ones refused to cremate the body requiring that a complaint be lodged against the accused police constable.
