Washington: The United States and Russia will hold strategic talks and strategic control of Biden administration next week in Switzerland, the two countries announced on Friday.

Both parties hope to explore ways to move beyond the new initial agreement agreed by Biden and Putin earlier this year to extend up to 2026.
The agreement will expire in February and the former government of President Donald Trump has not moved to extend it.
Trump’s administration has resigned from several weapons and agreements related to Russia during the time in the office, causing anxiety between US allies in Europe and elsewhere.
The previous administration said the pact was obsolete and Russia in continuous violations of them.
The Biden government wants further weapons negotiations to include numeric non-strategic nuclear missile warehouses, which are not covered by new early and is special attention to European allies.
