Lucknow: Special Judge, Nia / ATS, YR Gupta on Thursday was given ten days of detainees about accusing Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui to ATS for interrogation in connection with the case of conversion of illegal religion.
The period of detention will begin on Friday at 10 am and end on October 4 at 10 am.
The court issued an order to request the explanation of LAL investigation officers.
Siddiqui, a leading Meerut Ulama, was arrested from Meerut and sent to prison with trial detention on Wednesday.
ATS then moved the application before the court sought the detention of the Siddiqui Police.
The court has fixed Thursday because he heard the request.
The defendant was present at the court when he heard about the disposal of the application when he was taken from prison on the court order.
ATS has arrested ten accused, including Mohd Umar Gautam, in this case from various parts of the country.
The agency has continued the accusation of the six accused in this case.
While the probe against four was waiting, the agency also arrested Siddiqui.
Vinod Kumar’s sub-inspector has submitted FIR in this case with ATS [police station on June 20, 2021].
In the disposal of the request in front of the court, the ATS Probe officer stated that the cellphone and seven local and foreign SIM cards were recovered from the defendant.
He also runs many Muslim institutions and through them non-Muslims converted to Islam.
In this view, it is necessary that the rights interrogate him about his relationship in illegal actions.
It also needs to interrogate him about bank accounts and other documents from the institution.
ATS said that wanting to track people who illegally repented in Islam.
