Nagpur: Jagdamba Sansthan, Koradi, led by MLC and BJP Chandrashekhar Secretary General Bawankule, has proposed to the Development Authority of the Nagpur Metropolitan area (NMRDA) to change the Yatri Niwas part to the organ transplant hospital.
Land plus eight floors Bhakt Niwas has 164 rooms, reception, library, restaurant, office, conference room, gymnasium and yoga room.
The use of the current building is for commercial purposes.
Nmrda has allocated Yatri Niwas to resorts and private hotels that are limited to operate and maintain it for 10 years Storey Yatri Niwas.
In a letter to Bawankule in January, Gadkari was studied to mention that patients faced the main side effects due to covid pandemics.
Patients from Vidarbha even have to go to Hyderabad, Chennai or Mumbai for lung transplants, heart, kidneys and liver.
“There are no facilities for multi-organ transplants for patients in need in the city of Nagpur.
So, Shree Mahakathmi Jagdamba Sanshthan, Koradi, is establishing a new hospital in Nagpur Regency to provide multi-organ transplant facilities,” Bawankule letter to NMRDA said.
Responding to recurrent efforts, Chairman of NMRDA Manoj Suryawanshi was not available for his comments.
The source said the NMRDA board will immediately discuss the proposal.
However, Sansthan has requested that the Yatri Niwas building near the temple transferred to the free Sansthan Koradi to set up a new hospital.
If approved, there are no funds to be sought from the government for the construction of this hospital.
The State Urban Development Department has sanctioned the construction of the NIWAS bhakt in December 2015.
It has approved the project at a cost of Rs 54.22 Crore.
The state government has provided 80% of funds, while NMRDA contributes to the rest.in January 2020, NMRDA allocates Yatri Niwas to resorts and personal hotels and annual rent 72.65 lakh collected for 2020-21.
However, it failed to pay the annual rent of Rs 61.57 lakh for the current fiscal and instead, submit a request for neglect.
NMRDA also handed over the building to Temple Trust to run a Covid Care Center in 2021 for six months.
.As distance between Nagpur and Koradi just 11 km, organ transplant hospital settings will be fruitful, Bawankule proposal mentioned.
