WASHINGTON: The Head of the US International Development Corporation will visit India later this month as part of a quad effort to increase the manufacture of vaccines.
The United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) is a government-managed financial institution, which invests in development projects, especially in low and medium-sized income countries.
Leading a high-powered delegation, the Chief Operating Officer DFC (COO) David Marchick will travel to India from October 24-16.
In Hyderabad, the delegation will visit offices manufacturer of Indian Vaccine e biologically and participate in the signing ceremony to open new facilities with substantial capacity for making vaccines, official release words.
“This work supports historical commitments set by President (Joe) Biden and his colleagues in ‘Quad’ – Australia, India, Japan and the United States,” DFC said in a statement.
Marchick will travel to India.
After his visit to South Africa starting October 18.
Traveling to South Africa and India is to advance DFC investment helps improve global health and expand the production capacity of Covid-19 vaccine throughout the developing world.

During the South African tour, the DFC delegation will visit the African Data Center, DFC clients who are developing and expanding important technology infrastructure throughout Africa.
The delegation will go around the Aspen Pharmackare sterile facility, the largest pharmacy in Africa.

“Since the first day of the Biden government, President Biden has stated that the only way to defeat Covid-19 is to end the pandemic both at home and abroad by vaccinating America at home and non-American abroad,” DFC said.
The US has been committed to contributing 1.1 billion doses of covid vaccines throughout the world and have sent nearly 200 million doses to developing countries – more doses than those combined by the whole world, he said.
