Hubballi: Official Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) is ready to present a budget for the third time in a row without the chosen body.
In the absence of selected representatives, HDMC officials will present a budget.
If HDMC has a chosen body, the HDMC tax chairman, the financial and appeal committee will present a budget, and will be discussed on the floor.
The selection was held almost four months ago and Corporators were elected.
But they have not taken an oath because the Mayor’s poll has not been held.
In such situations, HDMC officials are preparing for the budget.
With the absence of the elected body in 2020-21 and 2021-2022, the HDMC commissioner and his team presented the previous budget.
B Gopal Krishna, Commissioner HDMC, said the Corporation account department collects the data needed for the budget.
The budget will be exactly as it is worthy of the twin cities.
The focus will be given to all aspects such as roads, waste management and income, he said.
“In previous years, we sent a budget for approval to the Office of the Regional Commissioner before February 10, but this year, we have requested additional time.
The budget will be delivered for approval before 15 February.
The budget copy will also include problems submitted by the public and organization in pre-budget meetings, “he added.
Former Mayor and Four-Time Corporator Veeranna Savadi said that the budget prepared by officials was their routine work.
If the financial committee prepares a budget design, it will be discussed with the usual mayor and all members must discuss it on the floor, showing changes.
“Be directly with people, the chosen body knows people’s problems and will have a vision,” he said.
Officials only spend money, and do not apply budget vision satisfactorily, while projects that are also not taken.
