New Delhi: In the midst of ongoing awards between India and the European Union for the “Green Pass” for the Covid vaccine, nine European countries have added a covishield to the approved vaccine list.
European countries that have cleared Covishield include seven EU member countries: Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Greece, Ireland, Estonia and Spain and two non-member countries: Iceland and Switzerland.
This means that inoculated with a covishield vaccine will be released from travel tracks in these countries.
On Wednesday, India said it would recognize the Covid Digital EU certificate with a reciprocal base and would not accept it until the EU did the same for the Indian vaccine – Covishield and Covaxin.
India, which has increased the problem with the European Medicine Agency (EMA) and France, also asked EU member countries to individually consider expanding similar liberation to those who already have Jab Covishield and Covaxin.
EU Green Passa EU vaccine passport program will allow people to travel freely in a block from July 1, as long as they have one of these vaccines.
At present, only four vaccines – Comirnaty of Pfizer / Biontech, Modera, Vaxzervia by Astrazeneca-Oxford and, Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen – have been approved by the European Medicine Agency (EMA).
