Covid-19 affects the PU test score

Mangaluru: The second PU medium exam results held in December 2021 have revealed that the majority of students’ performance, especially from rural areas and study in government PU colleges, poor.
Their city counterparts have done better.
The main reason, some teachers said, was the Kuncian Covid-19 which affected students’ learning abilities.
Jayanna CD, DDPU Dakshina Kannada, said the overall performance in the district in medium-term examination was around 70% of 85% during pre-covid days.
“The lecturers have done their best when PU colleges opened for offline classes.
During our visit to college, students in feedback they appreciate medium-term examinations that have given them to examine their academic abilities,” he added.
Training says that many are struggling to score Pass numbers and others have just secured a pass mark.
Kavitha, Principal in PU College government in Benjanivu, said that the overall performance of the second PUC candidate was bad.
“In a medium-term examination, only around 60% of them have passed in our college and the majority have secured a pass mark.
It was because the college needed several weeks to return it to its path.
