New Delhi: Delhi reports 2,716 new Covid-19 cases for the past 24 hours, witnessing a one-day surge in the highest since May 2021.
In accordance with the bulletin issued by the Ministry of Health on Saturday, the level of peposititivity for that day increased to 3.64 per cent.
A total of 74,622 samples were tested over the past 24 hours, up from 73,590 on Friday.
With this, Tally of Covid-19 cases in the national capital has reached 14,50,927.
During the last 24 hours, 765 people recovered from infection, taking total recovery in the state to 14.19.459.
One death was recorded for the past 24 hours, taking the calculation of death in Delhi to 25,108.
At present there are 6,360 cases of Covid-19 active in the national capital.
Of these, 3248 is currently in house isolation.
During the last 24 hours, 1.24,148 Covid-19 vaccination doses were given, where 52,767 people received their first dose while 71,381 received the second dose of their vaccines.
Until now, a total of 2,63,64,756 vaccination doses have been given in the national capital.
From this, 1.52.22,436 people have received their first dose while 1,11,42,320 people have received a second dose of vaccines.
Delhi witnessed a surge in fresh Koronavirus infection for the past week after the appearance of the Omicron Coronavirus variant.
At present there are 351 omicron cases in the national capital, according to the Ministry of Health and family welfare.
