Thane: Kalyan and Dombivli twin cities in Thane Maharashtra Regency once again reported a large surge because of 91 people who were positively tested for Covid-19 on Friday.
This is the second time in two weeks that cities have recorded more than 90 cases.
On September 29, 96 cases have emerged in the region.
According to the latest data by Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), most cases appeared in Kalyan West (44), followed by 21 in West Dombivli, 12 in Dombivli East and 11 in Kalyan East.
Two people were tested positively in the Manda-Titwala region, while one contracted by a virus in the Mohane area.
Also, one more death is reported within the KDMC limit.
On the other hand, 77 people recovered from infection on Friday, taking the total recovery amount to 1,39,821.
At present, 756 patients underwent treatment for Covid-19 in Kalyan and Combined Dombivi.
