Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala recorded 9,361 new Covid-19 cases and 99 deaths on Friday, pushing infection to be calculated to 48,88,678 and the death toll became 27,765.
According to the release, 9,401 people were restored from the disease today, taking a total of recovery in the country to 47,88,629.
“At present there are 80,892 Active Covid-19 cases which are only 9.8 percent hospitalized,” said Minister of Health George in the release.
He said 80,393 samples were tested in the last 24 hours and there were 211 wards with a weekly infection population ratio above ten percent.
Among the regencies, Ernakulam reported the number of fresh positive cases to the highest highest – 1,552, followed by Thiruvananthapuram with 1,214 and Kollam-1,214.
Of those found infected today, 39 reached the country from outside the interim 9.012 contracted disease through their contacts.
The source of infection 254 has not been traced and 56 health workers also among those infected, the word liberation.
