Pune: The country recorded 20 Omicron cases, including six of Pune District, on Friday, taking the 108th infection calculation so far, where 54 had run out after they became negative for infections on the RT-PCR test.

A total of 23 people were found infected with new variants in the state on Thursday.
Report of the Public Health Department stated that 20 new cases, 11 came from Mumbai, followed by five from the canton board limit.
Two cases are Satara, while each case has been reported from the limit of Pune Civic and Ahmednagar.
From new cases, 14 cases were reported by the National Institute of Virology (NIV), while six cases were reported by the Indian Institute of Science, Education and Research (Iiser) Pune, the report stated.
The report added that 15 patients had history of international travel, while someone had a history of domestic travel and four patients were their high-risk contacts.
“Cases include children under 18 years and six patients over the age of 60.
All 20 patients do not show symptoms,” said the report.
It was said except children, 12 patients were fully vaccinated and seven were not vaccinated.
“Through airport and field supervision, 722 samples have been sent for sequencing genomes, which results around 157 samples are waiting,” he added.
