Chandrashekhar Singh on Saturday inaugurated the 200-Bed Covid Healthcare Center (DCHC) with oxygen facilities at the Bihar State Development Corporation at Kangan Ghat in Patna City.
Because of the number of covid patients who need very few inpatient care, only 80 beds have been made functional in the center.
DM said the city now has three DCCs, including both of them are arranged at the Patliputra Hotel Ashok and Patliputra Sports Complex.
Three DCHC shared has 345 beds.
From them, only five beds were occupied by Covid patients on Saturday.
Some government hospitals and medical colleges and hospitals in the city also have a large number of beds for covid patients.
“The highest number of positive daily cases in the district during the second wave was recorded at 5,387 on May 3 last year against around 2,200 so far in the third wave.
Likewise, the total number of active cases one day during the second wave had reached 32,182 on May 8 last year.
However, it is around 14,000 in the current wave, “he added.
“These numbers indicate that the Covid situation in Patna is not out of control.
Most patients are in house isolation and cellular medical units make drugs available for them,” said DM, adding people to continue to wear masks and maintain the appropriate behavior Covid in public places.
