Chennai: After three days, the daily count of the positive case of Covid-19 fresh fell below 1,700 marks in Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
The state added 1,694 new cases and 14 deaths in the Covid-19 registry.
The number of active cases continues to increase in stages in the state for the nineteenth day in a row.
Since September 8, when the country has 16,190 patients, this number has increased.
At present, there are 17,285 active cases in TN.
This is because the recovery rate has not increased equivalent to the number of fresh infections.
Three weeks ago, TN reported about 1,500 new cases every day.
It exceeded 1,700 this week.
But throughout this period of time, the daily debit rate is around 1,600 signs i.e., 98%.
However, experts say this is not the beginning of the third wave due to the level of the test (TPR) of all districts still below 2% t.
On average, more than 1.5 lakh samples are tested every day at 300 labs.
Coimbatore once recorded the highest number of cases (196) with TPR 1.8%.
Thiruvarur (68) topped the Country TPR graph with 2% of positive sample testing.
In Chennai, the Covid situation seems stable with less than 200 people infected every day during the second half of this week.
On Sunday, 190 was tested positively.
Of all 2,087 patients undergoing treatment in the district, only less than half of the hospitalization needed and remained with a mild infection in house isolation.
