Mumbai: Even when cases in the state and city continue to fall, active cases in the state fell below 10,000 on Sundays.
In Mumbai, too, active cases have dropped to the lowest level of all time.
The state reported 845 cases and 17 deaths, took the total case to 66.29 lakh and death of up to 1,40,739.
Active cases in the state decreased to 9,799 on Sundays, a significant decrease in the active case of 7 lakh reported during the peak of the second wave in the state in April.
Meanwhile, 2,758 people were in care for Covid in the city.
Civil numbers show that from active cases, only around 1,161 patients are currently in hospitals, where around 251 are very important.
Hally 6% of 17,434 city beds are currently occupied.
The city added 212 cases and three deaths on Sunday, took a total case to 7.61 lakh and death to 16,306.
Suresh Kakani, Commissioner of the Municipality of Akantakeacallon Night Jumbo Covid Hospital in December, because some of them ran with minimal patients.
Dr Avinash Supe said that even in front of mortality, the number of cities had been good.
“The death rate has been consistently below 1% for months now even though all celebrations open and post-diwali,” he said.
Dr.
Supe, however, warned against dropping guards.
“Everyone who is due to vaccination must get it,” he said.
About the possibility of the third wave that was delayed, he said, “Some Western countries have seen a delayed wave.
If new mutations come into play, we might see a surge in February or March.
But if people wear masks, get vaccination and keep a distance, we shouldn’t See the severity of the second wave, “he added.
