Gurgaon: In seven January, the number of new Covid-19 cases reported in this city is more than double the last seven months.
Between January 1 and 7, the city added 6,254 cases, while from June to December 2021, recorded 2,935 cases.
The city has added a maximum number of cases (59,921) in April last year, followed by the second, for 1.012 waves.
Before this, it added most cases on November 2020 (19,665) during the first wave.
This city, meanwhile, crosses 5,000 active Mark cases on Friday, adding 1,879 new Covid cases.
This is the highest surge since May 14 last year, when 2,144 people tested the virus positive.
The current number of active cases is 5,356, where 36 patients are in the hospital.
The current covid hospitalization rate is 1.9%.
The daily level of peposititivity, which at 5% on January 1, has increased to 17%.
Gurgaon did 11,008 tests on Friday.
To manage the number of fast-growing home insulation patients, the Ministry of Health has segmented the city to nine units, based on the primary health center, and places their respective health units, so it becomes easier for doctors to monitor infected people recover at home.
Each unit has eight members, including medical staff, pharmacists, and auxiliary nurse midwives.
“Units visit patients on every alternative day.
They check the level of temperature and oxygen saturation and give them drugs and isolation pamphlets,” said Chief Medical Officer Dr.
Virender Yadav.
Dedicated teams also call every patient in house isolation to monitor their health.
Friday, Haryana reported 3,748 new cases.
So far reported 123 Omicron cases, nine of them on Friday.
Of the 123 cases, 31 active while 92 had been repatriated after recovery.
