Chennai: Pandemic changes everything about our lives, even the time at which we eat our food for what we consumed, said a study, ‘impact of Covid-19 in the choice of urban Indian consumer nutrition in 2021’.
This was done by Pepsico India with market research based in the main London Euromonitor International.
The study was conducted with 1,000 respondents in the age group of 18 to 50 years in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
This analyzes changing eating habits during Covid-19-49% urban consumers start eating a late breakfast and 62% eating dinner late because of an increase in housework.
More than 70% of urban millennials feel lack of energy due to delayed timing.
While the millennium believes breakfast must be rich in protein and fiber, making breakfast nutritious and delicious takes time.
The research also highlights the behavior of purchases changed when shopping for breakfast cereal – 53% of urban consumers become aware, for almost 90% is willing to pay more for healthy alternatives and 53% are still shopping from offline stores such as stores, grocery stores and supermarkets.
For 51% of urban millennium, the recommendation of nutritionists plays an important role in purchasing food.
This study found that the millennium now focuses on improving their physical and mental health.
While 71% of urban consumers are concerned about stress / anxiety and overall health, 89% become health conscious and eat more food cooked houses.
Nearly 60% millennium began to practice yoga and walk / walk during a pandemic.
