Ahmedabad: Many schools in the city are below the scanner after the Covid case report on students from two city-based schools recently emerged.
Resources in the State Education Department said that there were several schools where children were detected with Covid, but they did not report to the authorities concerned and tried to brush it under the carpet.
As a result, the government now keeps a tight watch in several schools like that, said the source.
Some NIRSA school students at Chharodi and UDGAM schools in Thaltej were posted positively recently after the District Education Officer (Deo) ordered the closure of the offline study for one week.
“There are complaints of students who tested positive Covid in several schools, including one in Bodakdev and others in the Shilaj on the outskirts of Ahmedabad.
The government keeps their passion on them,” said the source.
Gujarat’s parents’ associations have written to the Ministry of Executed Education Vaghani in connection with this issue.
The association has asked the Minister to intervene and maintain the health of students.
They also seek compensation if students go to school tested positive for Covid.
