Ranchi: In the midst of a fresh surge in the Covid-19 case, the Jharkhand government on Monday decided to re-impose the limitations related to the pandemic, turn off all educational institutions and tourist attractions until January 15 and limit the presence of employees at 50 percent in the office.
The announcement was made shortly after senior official held a meeting here, chaired by the Head of Minister of Hemant Soren.

“Administrative work, however, continues at the Institute of Education with 50 percent of the workforce,” said the statement.
All tourist locations in the state, including zoos, have been closed.
In addition, the pool, fitness center and stadium will also be closed.
“Cinema Hall, restaurants, bars and shopping centers are now allowed to operate at half their capacity,” said the government statement.
Limiting drug stores, restaurants and bars, which have been given permission to keep opening on schedule, shops have been told to get off the window at 8pm.
Outdoor programs have been permitted with a maximum of 100 people present.
Likewise, permission has been given for indoor events with no more than 100 people or 50 percent of the residence of the venue, which is lower.
All restrictions will be in place until January 15, after that the situation will be reviewed, officials said.

Jharkhand on Sunday reported 1,057 fresh Covid-19 cases, 413 of them in Ranchi.
