Rajkot / Letter / Vadodara: With an increase in the case of Covid-19 Post Diwali Festivity, the administration of various districts has swung in action.
The suspected testing of patients has increased apart from taking aggressive contact tracing.
Rajkot saw as many as 11 people who tested positive in the four days ending on Thursday.
The Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) and Civil Hospital has increased testing after the increase in cases.
According to RMC health officials from 11 patients three undergoing a history of travel to Ahmedabad and four have a history of travel to Mumbai.
The rest of the patient is infected through local transmission.
Apart from increasing testing, RMC also increases contacts and supervision searches.
After increasing new cases, RMC has decided to double Covid testing to 2,000 per day from Friday.
Before Diwali, the Civic Agency used to do around 1,000 Covid tests, which included 400 fast antigen tests.
RMC on Friday did around 1600 tests including 1200 RT-PCR tests.

City Health Officer Lalit Vaja said that employees in health centers have been asked to supervise patients who show covid symptoms.
“We have asked staff to take samples of suspected patients who come to the health center.
Supervision in the buffer zone area near the detention zone has also increased.
Our team also visited the school to filter students,” Vaja said.
“All 11 patients tested positively have mild symptoms because they are fully vaccinated.
I beg all who qualified to take the second dose as early as possible,” Vaja added.
Recently, four patients from Jungadh were treated because of Covid at Rajkot PDU Hospital.
In fact, there are currently no patients undergoing treatment at the hospital ready to 400 beds.
