Jaipur: The State reported the sixth death of Covid this month on Tuesday after a person died in Jhunjhunu took the country’s casualties to 8,961.
It was the 159th Covid death in Jhunjhunu.
The death rate from Covid increased to 1.2% in December.
In the last 21 days, the country reported 488 cases of Covid and six deaths.
On Friday, Ganganagar reported Covid’s death.
Seven days ago, a 47-year-old Barmer resident had died of a virus in Jodhpur.
Six deaths have occurred in six different districts.
On December 13, Churu and Rajsamand reported two Covid deaths.
In November, only one Covid death reported when two and a half-year-old had died on November 18, which was the first death because of the virus since July 31.
After November 18, the next Covid death was reported from Bikaner on December 6 in the last 24 hours, 21 people were found infected to take the overall calculation to 9,55,273.
Nine cases reported from Jaipur, Jaisalmer reported four cases, three of the Ajmer and one case respectively reported from Srianganganagar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Pratapgarh and Udaipur.
Active cases have increased from 210 to 217 in the last 24 hours.

A senior health department official said because the Covid case was reported, people had to take appropriate precautions.
In Jaipur, five cases reported from Mansarovar, two of Vaishali Nagar and one case were reported from Gandhi Nagar and Shastri Nagar.
