New Delhi: The Ministry of Health Union on Thursday identified six countries including Maharashtra, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh as a “alarming country”.
Overcoming press direction, the Ministry of Health said 11 states / UT had more than 50,000 cases of Active Covid-19; 515 the district reports weekly case rank is more than 5%.

In this third Covid-19 surge, we currently do not witness severe diseases and deaths due to high vaccination absorption.
– On January 20, 2022, there were 3.17,532 new cases, 380 deaths and 19,24,051 active cases.
The proportion of people who are fully vaccinated is 72%.
In the last surge of Covid-19, on April 30, 2021, there were 3.86,452 new cases, 3,059 deaths and more than 31 active cases of lakh.
– Until now, 52% of children in the age group 15-18 in the country were vaccinated.
– Covid death is significantly lacking in the third wave of Coronavirus compared to the second wave.
– Sec CDSCO has recommended DCGI that two vaccines are given market approval.
The final decision of the national regulator has not been taken.
