Covid spreads in the countryside, but cases can be managed

Written by news2in

Vadodara: Rural areas in the district now seem to be in the clutches of Covid-19.
The number of cases reported from the district outside the city limits is increasing consistently.
From just 131 new cases on January 18, the district area outside the border of Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) added 761 cases on Tuesday.
.
The area has not registered a new case for some time before the third wave starts sweeping this area.
Of the 1,06,802 cases registered in the district so far, 32,025 cases have been reported from areas outside the VMC area.
197 of 632 deaths have also occurred in areas outside the city limits.
An official said that the trend was with the expected line because the pandemic was known to spread faster in cities because of the solid population and high mobility of people.
He added that urban areas will also peak in front of rural areas.
The source added that the increasing number of cases in rural areas is lower concern today because patients experience mild symptoms.
In the first two waves, set oxygen, ventilators, and other facilities are difficult in rural areas.
But very few patients today need intensive care and the situation can be managed so far.
