Ahmedabad: On Monday, Gujarat has three cities, namely letters, Gandhinagar and Junagadh who have 100% of the population covered with at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccination.
With all three, now all eight Gujarat city companies including major cities of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar have 90% or more populations covered with at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccination.
Cumulatively, 97% of the target population has received the first dose in these cities, which is much higher than the average state of 89%.
Even for the second dose, against the average state of 44%, urban areas contributed 52% of the second jab – which meant half of those who had received the first shot also got a second shot.
After saying this, there were more than 83 lakh people who had taken the first shot, would be due to the second shot and have not taken Jab.
The State Immunization Department has now focused their attention to ensure this population completes their two doses.
“For people because the second shot that hasn’t developed, we collaborate with the city corporation and district administration to call them and guide them to their closest vaccination cubicles,” said Dr.
Nayan Jani, the state immunization officer, in all, the second Gujarat in India in India Between major countries with 89% population covered with first and 44% shots with the second.
Kerala in the first position each has a coverage of 93% and 43% of the first and second shots.
Overall, Himachal Pradesh 100% population is covered and Jammu & Kashmir 97% with the first JAD, revealed the central government data.
Gujarat has cumulatively vaccinated 6.5 crore people for the first and second doses – a third combination with Madhya Pradesh after Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
The state has provided a boost for the maximum coverage of the target population in front of the celebration season to thwart the possible third wave.
October remains a month so far with a relatively higher daily case and four Deat HS in the first 11 days – one of the highest since July.
Dr.
Jani said that they intend to cover up the entire target population among urban areas immediately.
“We are conducting camps in various regions, and also reach people at night.
All cities have a good response to immunization with cities such as letters and Gandhinagar reaching 100% of the first dose,” he said.
City-based medical practitioners say that with wider vaccine coverage in cities such as Ahmedabad, not only has been reduced cases, but also the severity of infection that proved fatal during the second wave.
