Nagpur: In an effort to obtain nearly 10 hectares of land for the proposed rails on the bridge (ROR) bridge in Godhni, Central Railway’s authority is negotiating with around 50 farmers from five villages.
After completion, the ROR will reduce the delay in Delhi-bound train operation.
The measurement of land needed for the project has been carried out by train, the income department and farmers participate in it.
Sources on the train said the authorities were facing rigid challenges in convincing farmers from five villages – Godhni, Pitesur, Chakkikhapa, Lonara and Bharatwada – to hand over part of their land to suitable compensation.
At present, Delhi-bound trains are forced to stop at Godhni for clear traffic about Nagpur-Istiti route.
The train is often forced to take a detour from the Nagpur over-solid train station, which has experienced more than 150% saturation.
“At Nagpur Station, the machine must be reversed, which requires time.
At Godhni, 12 minutes were wasted when the train had to stop and start again, “he said, adding ROR would allow Delhi-bound by the train to pass the existing route without having to stop.
In the long run, the train government plans to develop Godhni as a satellite terminal from which Delhi-border can come from.
Authorities see Godhni, which is only six km from Nagpur, as the right location to be developed at the line from the Ajni station.
“The authorities hope to complete the formality of land acquisition through the income department in the mid 2022 and start working in the next budget year,” said the source.
Efforts are also being carried out to accelerate the TPK project proposed in sewagram, saying the source.
CR authorities now also focus on the acquisition of land from five villages in Sudagram.
ROR there will allow subtle trips to the south-bound train going through Ballarshah.
Because the train movement will go to Mumbai, train traffic to and from the south will be delayed in sewagram.
However, here too, the authorities are facing severe duties in obtaining land from farmers.
Under the supervision of the Division of the Train Division (DRM), Richa Khare, five major projects that are imagining this year on priority, including 650 km from double the routes and new routes between Wardha and Nanded.
The third and fourth lines between Nagpur and Wardha, the third line between Wardha and Ballarshah and also between Nagpur and Endarsi between the five new projects inside the pipe.
