Gurgaon: On the way for seven years, criminals with the gift of Rs 50,000 on his head had been arrested.
A resident of Jhajjar, Rambhul aka Sonu, was accused of raping a woman in the Park Rajendra Gurgaon in June 2014.
He was hiding since then.
While in hiding, Sonu was related to other criminals and allegedly killing someone in Rajasthan in 2019.
A gurgaon court declared him a perpetrator who was stated a few days ago.
The police said they had tried to NAB Sonu since June 25, 2014, when fir for rape in section 376 IPC was submitted against him at the Park Police Station Park Rajendra on a female complaint.
Sonu, police said, often changed its location to avoid catching.
Unable to arrest him for years, Gurgaon police have announced Rs 50,000 prizes on his head.
In addition, a gurgaon court declared him the perpetrators who were proclaimed in the case of rape a few days ago.
However, on Thursday, Sonu was running out of luck, when acting on a tip-off, a team led by Rajendra Park Sho Praveen Kumar, went to Dhankot and arrested him.
The Constable Head of Ashok Kumar, which is part of the team, physically disables Sonu.
During interrogation, police said, he claimed to have raped the woman.
“Allegations also told us that he was in contact with some other criminals when hiding.
And in 2019, he, together with several others, struggled by someone to death in the Ramgarh police station in Rajasthan,” said ACP (Crime) Preeting Sangwan.
“We tried to find out if he had done more crimes since 2014.” In another case, the police had arrested the murder accused of nearby Rajiv Chowk.
Bhola Prasad, came from Bihar, allegedly killed a restaurant worker with anger near the parking lot of Rajiv Chowk in January this year, following the argument.
The deceased was identified as Ramcharan (47).
Police said both consumed liquor on January 29 in Dhaba after work.
But after the restaurant owner goes home, an argument broke between the duo.
In anger, Bhola had stabbed Ramcharan to death and escaped.
