Patna: It’s like a dream come true for Sudha Kumari, graduate in English from the University of Magadh, Bodh style, when he was appointed to Police Bihar as a sub-inspector after the parade passing on Thursday.
He was among 596 women of a total of 1,586 sub-inspectors appointed into Bihar police after completing their strict training at the Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir.
Coming from the family of the army men, Sudha said his security for women and enthusiasm to serve people inspired him to join the police.
“There was a sense of discipline in the family when my father and two old brothers were in the Indian army,” he said.
Initially it came from the Bhojpur district, Sudha said training in the field during the covid-induced locking would help him in a better task.
He was dialized in Kaimur Regency in the range of Shahabad police during covid-induced locking.
Like Sudha, another sub-inspector of Trainee, Khushboo Kumari, is in the Cloud Nine after the parade passes.
He was welcomed by close relatives.
Graduates in mathematics from the University of Punjab, Khushboo decided to wear police uniforms after marriage.
“When I came to my in-laws’ house in the Jamui District, I found several girls preparing for work in the police.
When I prepared banking services, it was useful for me and I was finally elected,” he said.
The mother of a five-year-old child, Khushboo is the Nawada district native.
But he was born and raised in Punjab where his father Janardan Singh was employed in a factory.
Although his brother Vikas Kumar served on SSB, the role of police officers in Hindi films inspired him since his childhood.
Amrita Kumari, postgraduate in the field of rustic engineering and cooperation from the University of Tilka Manjhi, Bhagalpur, was the first in his family to join the police.
The daughter of a lawyer who practiced Jai Prakash Singh, Amrita received inspiration to join the police from the film.
“In fact, I was fascinated by the role of police officers in the film.
In addition, my ambition to do something different in the community caught my attention to the police,” Amrita told this newspaper after the passing parade.
Ravita’s case is different.
A former teacher at a school, Ravita joined the police to set something right in the community.
“People with criminal thoughts will be taken to the task.
They are mainly responsible for the resurrection of women.
They will be handled with iron hands,” Ravita, a resident of Rajepur in the East Champaran district, said.
