Prague: The Czech government has approved a plan to contribute to 2.39 million Covid-19 vaccines to countries in Balkan, Africa and Asia by the end of 2021, government officials said on Monday.
“We will only be safe from Coronavirus if we provide vaccines for the whole world,” Milena Hrdinkova, Secretary of State for European affairs, said on his Twitter account.
The Czech Republic, a member of the European Union of 10.7 million, has provided nearly 10 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine since the end of December, with 4.6 million people entirely vaccinated, according to the Ministry of Health data.
