Pune: The number of Covid-19 daily cases fell more than a low month (1,505) in the Pune Metropolitan area (PMR) on Monday, strengthening the view of health experts that the third wave was reduced and the region passed its peak.
It was on January 3 when the area had recorded the calculation of Monday – 727.
In comparison, recovery in the region reached 3,772 on Monday.
This includes 2,056 recovery from the limit of the municipality of Pune, 928 of the PCMC area and 788 of the rural part.
Among new cases, the PMC area contributed 776, followed by the Pimpri Chinchwad (404) area and the rural part (325).
The decline in cases was due to a decrease in daily testing, health experts said.
On Monday, 14,298 tests were carried out in the region by connecting the calculation of Sunday more than 18,000.
A report released by Bhagwan Pawar District Health Officer stated that 5,657 samples were examined in the PMC limit, 6,061 in the PCMC and 2,580 limits in rural areas.
With this, the calculation of active cases dropped to 25,800 in PMR on Monday night.
Of these, 24,231 patients were in house isolation and 1,569 were in hospital care.
The region recorded 11 deaths again because of Covid-19 on Monday.
While six patients gave up on infection at PMC limits, four deaths were recorded in the PCMC area.
