Palanpur: Banas Dairy already has land to set up a milk processing plant in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh (UP), Prime Minister (PM) Parliamentary Chair Narendra Modi.
BANAS DAIRY, the union of the largest Gujarat milk, will spend nearly Rs 500 Crore to prepare a milk processing plant that can process five latric milk (LLPD) every day.
“Our board members visited the site in Varanasi on Sunday, saw the place and discussed the boundaries between other technicals,” Dairy executive director who was responsible for Sangram Chaudhary.
“51 BIGHA Land Parcel belongs to the State Industry Development Authority that has been submitted to us.
Located in Karkhiyaon, 18 km from Varanasi.
We have started working like leveling land and expect plants to appear in the next 18-20 months,” he said.
Initially, the factory was proposed to process 5 LLPD with the provision of expansion in the future.
Earlier on the day, Chairman Dairy Shankar Chaudhary would like to thank PM for his support in acquiring land for the project.
“Farmers up and Bansaskantha will be very useful from this milk factory,” he said.
After Kanpur and Lucknow, the Varanasi plant will become the third plants in Dairy in Uttar Pradesh.
