Kolkata: The new city of Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) will inaugurate the first-storey community building in the new city on Tuesday, which will have an open air dais and a large banquet room for residents to hold social functions such as weddig, birthday and annaprasan.
The community center, arranged in one hectare of land and is located close to the gate Bangwa Bangla in the field of action I, is scheduled to be inaugurated by the Development Minister Urban Chandrima Bhattacharya, who will also inaugurate the new NKDA Bhavan.
NKDA officials worked at the final finishing touch of the building and conducted inspections from new facilities on Monday.
The second floor and the three buildings have a banquet room.
“There is a delayed request for a community center in a new city.
This will be the first full full-clad-clad community center run by NKDA in New Town,” said an official.
Jamini Roy’s painting adds one side of the outer wall of a community center that has been aesthetically built, officials said.
At present, there is only one community hall in the new CB city market complex.
NKDA also worked on plans to establish several new market cum market rooms in the block environment.
Citizens are happy for their development.
“Until now there is no general community center for cities.
This new will help residents organize various social functions,” said Kaustav Dey, a resident.
Hidco on Monday inaugurated the children’s park in the adjacent village of Sardar Chakpachuria as part of its environmental development program.
More open space like it in and around the new city is being developed as a small garden and garden.
