Mangaluru: The following requests, Angara, Minister of Fisheries, Ports and Land Transportation, said he would discuss the issue of travel restrictions for people from Kerala with the chairman of the Minister and decide on easing norms.
Daily commuters from Kasaragod District in Kerala have urged the government to withdraw its demands which make the negative RT-PCR test be required to enter Kannada Dakshina.
Sathyarthi, an Interstate commuter forum from Kasaragod, met Shrinivas Poojary City Minister and Angara Deputy and Deputy Commissioner Dr.
KV Rajendra and urged them to raise limits.
They said cases in the District Kasaragod had fallen.
However, the DK District Administration said it would relax the rules only if the government issued an order.
Angara said he had received a memorandum from Kannadiangas in Casilagod, asking the sidewalk to subside.
“I understand their problem.
I was scheduled to travel to Bengaluru today and I will discuss the problem with CM.
Considering the current situation, the government will make a decision to resolve Kannadigas issues in the case,” he said.
The Poojari Minister also promised members of Sahayathri that the problem would be resolved soon.
