DCPO recommends withdrawal of children's house licenses

Chennai: Kancheepuram District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) has recommended a license with license Life Charital Trust, a children’s house in Eraiyur, because it involves inmates as laborers.
The authorities have taken steps to take part in the TOI report on the violation of the 2015 Minby Justice Act of House.
The report revealed that the children at home were forced to work in a cow cage and attend home inmates for parents who were run by the same management around him.
This report has also highlighted the inaction of the authorities for the complaints submitted by former member of the Child Glory Annie District Welfare Committee on this issue.
After this, M Mathiazhagan District Child Protection Officer conducted an investigation and shifted three boys from home to another government approved.
He issued a notification of performances to home management, looking for an explanation.
However, the explanation was unsatisfactory because they stated that boys went to work without their knowledge.
“After getting approval from the district collector, we have sent a report to the Director of Social Defense who recommends attracting a license for the house,” Mathiaghagan told Toi.
The department has also filed a police complaint against the house because it uses boys as domestic aid.
“The children were forced to clean Goshala who had around 60 cows and were forced to bring animal feed from neighboring farming fields,” Annie said in her complaint to higher officials.
Even though he alleged that the house, who violated the license, had recognized girls and they had been sexually attacked by boys and male staff members at home, officials firmly denied it.
“When we visited the house, we did not see a single girl at home,” Mathiaghagan said.
