Moscow: Russia on Tuesday reported 1,106 Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, the highest number since the start of Pandemi, amid a surge in new cases that have encouraged the authority to restore locking steps.
Daily toll road has reached a new record in six of the last eight days.
The Covid-19 task force also reported 36,446 new infections, compared with 37,930 a day before.
Russia will enter the shutdown of the National Workplace in the first week of November, and the capital of Moscow will handle a partial locking from October 28, with only important shops such as pharmacies and supermarkets that are allowed to remain open.
Authorities have blamed the increase in deaths and infections at a slow level of vaccination.
As an incentive, President Vladimir Putin has ordered that injected people must be given two work holidays.
