Mysuru: There was a decrease in the number of HIV positive cases in Mysuru District when compared to previous years.
This year, 389 was tested positive until October with each against 916 and 521 in 2019-20 and 2020-21.
The district has tested 91,953 people in all 25 integrated counseling and testing centers (ICTC), including the seventh cut in 2021.

The district also tested 68,819 people in all ICTS at the end of this October and detected 389 cases with a prevalence rate of 0.56 percent this year.

Against 29,037 pregnant women tested, this district found 11 positive women for HIV / AIDS with a prevalence rate of 0.03 percent at the end of this October.
The district reported 1,030 in 2017-18, 1.022 in 2018-19, 916 in 2019-20, 521 in 2020-21 and 389 at 2021-22 (up to October).
According to reports infected with HIV Taluk-Wise in 2020-21, Mysuru has reported 196, Hunsur 47, Periyapatna 17, K R Nagar 31, Nanji 49, H D Kote 26, T Narasipura 44 and from other districts 111 cases.
