Gehraiyay created a lot of buzz, what made people curious was how a mixture of interesting actors in the film shared friendship and the warmth.
Given that this film features a big star like Deepika Padukone, how a group of newer actors – Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa – who was amazed at him, managed to break away from their obstacles to share the screen space with him.
Later? When asked about it, Deepika said, “That is certainly something I realized, like at any point, I don’t want to make them feel intimidated or threatened.
In fact, I gave Shakun (Director of Shakun Batra) the idea that we all had to go to Goa before and get along, get to know each other and keep reading the script, because it is a type of film where the relationship feels very real and organic.
I want to believe that I make them feel as comfortable as possible and don’t think of me with the previous idea of who I am.
And To sort of connect with me that person, not the idea of me that they might have.
”
