Ahmedabad: Within 24 hours end at 5 pm on Wednesday, Gujarat recorded 54 new positive cases – the highest in 131 days.
The last time the country had seen cases above 50 on July 10 in 53.
In addition, with a debit of 16 patients, the state added 38 positive cases, a 15% increase in a day which was one of the highest in terms of the highest past for the country.
Now the active case stands at 291, the highest since July 27 or 114 days.
The worrying trend of Ahmedabad contributed half of the positive cases of the country daily continuing with city accounting for 28 or 51% of cases.
So how does the trend fit the first post-diwali wave in 2020? Analysis revealed that after two weeks (14 days) from Diwali’s day, last year the increase compared to Diwali’s day was 42% – from 1,124 to 1,598.
But in 2021, the number has been penetrated 86% from 29 to 54.
Another difference shown is the distribution of daily positive cases.
Of the 1,598 cases on November 28 last year, 61% came from four large districts – Ahmedabad, letters, Vadodara and Rajkot.
In 2021, on Wednesday 83% of everyday cases were recorded from four districts, showing large concentrations in urban areas, especially in Ahmedabad, which increased its shares from 22% last year to 51%.

Of the 33 Gujarat Regency, now 21 has at least one active Covid case.
Dr.
Dilip Gadhavi, President of the Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA), said the public had to guard.
“While city-based doctors don’t witness a lot of cases, these numbers definitely show trends.
The past wave shows us that the country and the country follows the international pandemic pattern.
Thus, we urge not to be satisfied,” he said.
