“The supply inspection process will be carried out on December 24 after the contract will be given to the company that won the offer, said Vda Vice-Chairman Isha Duhan.
Many leading global ropeway-and-ski-ski-ski manufacturers of Austria, USA, France and Malaysia have taken part in the pre-supply meeting held by Vda and showed interest in implementing the ROPEWAY RS 410 Crore project in Kashi.
The project will make the first city Kashi in this country to use the Ropeway for public transportation, officials said adding that the phase of the Ropeway Project pilot will be executed within a distance of less than 4 km distance between Varanasi Junction (Girlijaghar Crossing) and Girijaghar Crossing (Godowlia)).
The project also received approval from the State Cabinet on December 15.
After that it is expected that the foundation will be placed by PM Narendra Modi during his visit on December 23.
PM will inaugurate projects ready from the RS 850 Foundation of Crore and Lay.
Projects are worth more than Rs 1,100 Crore, including Amul factories on December 23.
Now, officials have confirmed that since the process of giving a contract that completes the tender process cannot be resolved, the possibility of combination on December 23 has ended.
According to Duhan, representatives of the six companies, including ECL SDN BHD management from Malaysia, Doppelmayr Garaventa of Austrian Poma companies and French companies participated in pre-supply meetings and discussed the details of the supply of the Ropeway business, which will be launched in front of the public partnership mode (PPP ).

As per the pilot phase plan, the Ropeway will be installed between Godowlia and the Cantonment train station through Rath Yatra.
The service will begin with 220 cable cars that will be available at the station equipped with escalators.
Each cable carriage will take 15 minutes to finish the end-to-end trip, officials said.
The Ropway transit system was adopted as a MRTS component following the refusal of the Metro Rail plan for Kashi in June 2018.
