New Delhi: A three-year-old girl was persecuted to death by a group of dogs outside her home in Moti Nagar, West Delhi, on Friday.
The girl was bitten many times and died in place, according to the police.
Laxmi lives with his parents, Gopi Ram and Vimla Devi, and a 6-year-old sister, at a camp near Dda Park, where his father is a gardener.
The police said the fangs attacked the girl when she played in the park.
“The two parents worked and made Laxmi sit on a nearby bench.
They are familiar with the dogs and don’t expect them to attack the girl,” said a police officer.
“About 20 minutes later when they hearged out angry dogs and children shouted, they rushed to check Laxmi just to find her big bleeding.
They took her to the hospital where the doctors declared her dead.” Urvija Goel, DCP (West), said the police Receive information about the incident from the hospital around 14:45.
“The girl’s body was taken to the DDU hospital for autopsy.
Parents claim that their daughter was persecuted by a dog in a park,” Goel said.
“We were investigating the incident and had recorded a statement of parents, who were present in the park.” Local residents were angry at the incident.
Some of them alleged that a group of children had thrown stones in the dogs because where the Canine package had chased children.
“While older children managed to escape, Laxmi could not feel danger.
And was attacked by dogs,” said a police officer.
